Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: admitting patients for procedures and exams, animal restraint, maintaining animal records and documenting conditions and updates, venipuncture including catheter placement, administering PO, SQ, IM, and IV medications, cytology readings, urine collections, filling prescription's, completing laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging, and educating clients on veterinary medicine.
What We're Looking For: a Veterinary Assistant who can expertly navigate fast-paced settings, is dedicated to professional growth, and can build a positive work environment. This role requires compassion, teamwork, and reliability.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Have at least one year of veterinary assistant experience
- Part-time availability
- Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations and open to receiving constructive feedback
- Must work effectively, independently or on a team, while consistently demonstrating compassion and empathy for pets and their owners
- Great communication, time management, and attention to detail
- High School Diploma or equivalent
