Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement and A/P Analyst to oversee our procurement operations while also assisting in coding and processing invoices. This unique dual-role position requires the skill to maintain positive vendor relationships and a solid understanding of accounting principles as it relates to A/P. This role will be a healthy mix of both Procurement and A/P and will also function as the central touchpoint as it relates to Accounts Payable, FP&A, and Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement:
- Full management of vendor relations, including maintaining vendor profiles and contracts
- Maintain and update Registrant applications for supplier accounts and controlled substances
- Provide periodic recurring Purchasing reporting by supplier, manufacturer, and location
- Assess product profitability and provide recommendations for pricing adjustments in targeted locations
- Review and maintain rebate and promotional opportunities from suppliers and manufacturers
- Partner with FP&A to provide COGS reporting and analysis
- Communicate vendor price changes and impacts to Finance and Operations teams
- Review, implement, and monitor improvements to inventory tracking and reporting processes
- Partner with IT to track and adjust log in roles for purchasing and supplier platforms
- Communicate and be primary contact to local management for purchasing and inventory related inquiries
- Participate and provide analysis for vendor contract negotiations
- Provide analysis for online sales platforms
- Review and provide recommendations for product related Practice Management System settings
- Participate and partner with other departments for implementation of new Practice Management and Procurement systems
- Provide ongoing comparable analysis for 3rd party imaging services
- Participate in discussions regarding medical equipment capex strategy and ROI analysis
- Review and monitor vendor statement reconciliations to ensure all accounts are in good standing
- Communicate any changes to contacts and/or processes with for our major vendors with Sr. AP Coordinator
- Serve as backup for Sr. A/P Coordinator functions as needed
Accounts Payable:
- Prepare and process GL coding for consolidated bills from nationally contracted vendors
Qualifications
Required:
- 5-10 years of experience in Procurement or Purchasing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Veterinary Medical experience
- Multisite experience
- Experience working with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies
- Experience with: Tipalti, Practice Management systems, Cubex systems, VetCove, VetSource
